7 more killed in road crashes

At least seven persons including a Sub-Inspector of police were killed and 15 others seriously injured in separate road crashes across the country on Friday.
In Khulna, at least two people were killed following a face to face collision between a private car and a motorbike at Baraitola Ghat Point area under Arongghata upazila of the district.
The accident took place around 2 pm on Friday noon. The victims were identified as motorbike driver Omar Faruq Hridoy, 24, Sakin Alam Star, 10.
Rezaul Karim Reza, Officer-in-Charge of Arongghata Police Station, told the media.
In Dhaka, a minor child named Shihab was killed and four others injured
when a pick-up van rammed a CNG-run auto rickshaw in Satrasta area of the capital on Friday morning.
Tejgaon Industrial Police Station Assistant Sub-Inspector Hannan Miah told the news media.
In Narsingdi, a motorcyclist was killed when a reckleass truck rammed him at Bagahata area on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway on Thursday evening.
The deceased was identified as Mustafizur Rahman,28, Sub-Inspector of a police and son of one Bazlur Rahman from Shibpur upazila of the district.
Syeduzzaman, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station told the matter to the media.
In Habiganj, a person named Joydeb Sarkar, 44, was killed in a tragic road crash in Madhabpur upazila of the district on Friday morning.
Muslem Uddin, Sub-Inspector of Saestaganj highway police told the news to the media.
In Cumilla, a women pedestrian named Doly Akhter, 36, was killed when a auto- rickshaw hit her in Muradnagar Upazila of the district on Friday morning.
