Staff Reporter :The Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested seven members of Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), including four Pakistani nationals, from different places in the capital on Friday night.A Dhaka court on Saturday placed them on three-day remand in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Metropolitan Magistrate Md Emdadul Haque passed the order after police produced them seeking 10-day remand.Of them, four Pakistanis are Md Idris Ali, Md Shakil, Khalilur Rahman and Md Iqbal. Another three Bangladeshis are: Babul Khan, Md Forkan and Md Shahid.The gang was involved with making fake currencies and trading those to raise funds for militant activities in the country, said Monirul Islam, Joint- Commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).He was addressing a press briefing at the DMP media centre on Saturday afternoon.The Bangladeshi detainees frequently visited Pakistan to deal with the illegal business, Monirul further said.Police also recovered seven passports, seven mobile phone sets and some books on jihad from their possessions.
