The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three snatchers and four suspected robbers in the city’s Dholpur and Matuail areas respectively on Monday.
RAB Headquarters Director of Legal and Media Wing, Mufti Mahmud said that a special team of RAB-10 conducted a drive at Dholpur after getting secret information and arrested three snatchers with an auto rickshaw around 6:00am. The identity of the arrested persons could not be identified immediately. They were being interrogated in the RAB headquarters.
The RAB official added that another team of the
elite force conducted a drive at Matuail following a secret information and arrested four suspected robbers and recovered a large number of Yaba pills and Tk 12 lakh from their possession around 1:00am. The identity of the arrested persons could not be identified instantly. They were being questioned about their involvement into Yaba selling and robberies in and around in city.
