Detective Branch (DB) of Police in an overnight drive arrested seven persons, including some government employees, from different areas in Dhaka on Monday in connection with the Public Service Commission (PSC) exam questions leakage.
The arrested persons are Niyamul Hasan, Harunur Rashid, Delwar Hossain, Ramjan Ali, Rubel Ahmed, Jashim Sikdar Rana and Akbar Hossain.
They also seized some PSC question papers, answer sheets, admit cards and Tk 50,000 in cash from their possession.
Muntasirul Islam, Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said this at a press briefing at media centre in the capital on Monday afternoon.
The DC said that a team of DB conducted a raid at Kallyanpur, Bangla Motor, and Sheora Para and picked up them.
Akbar Hossain, the prime suspect, is an MLSS employee at PSC, the police official said.
Another suspect, Bellal Hossain who is also an MLSS staff in Chittagong, is on the run, he said.
The gang leaked some question papers of the examination of upazila engineers which was held last Saturday.
