Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive recovered 610 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from Padmar Char in Charghat upazila of the district on Saturday.
Nayek Subedar Rezaul Karim of Mirganj BOP of BGB-1 said tipped off, a team of BGB conducted a drive in Padmar Chat area at noon.
Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the smugglers fled the scene leaving 610 bottles of Phensidyl.
Later, they recovered those from the area.
However, no one was arrested in this connection.
