60 gold bars seized in Satkhira

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 60 gold bars weighing 7 kgs from the border along Kathdanga village in Kalaroa upazila on Friday afternoon.
Major Nazir Ahmed Bakshi, acting commander of Satkhira BGB-38, said tipped-off, a team of BGB conducted a drive in a house of the village near the Kalaroa border around 12.30 pm and recovered 60 gold bars from the house.
The gold bars might have been kept there for smuggling those to India, he said.
A case will be filed in this connection, he added.
