Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested six snatchers from city’s Muradpur area on early Monday.
The arrested were identified as Mohammad Ismail, 33, Belal Hossain, 18, Mohammad Jafar, 20, Shahin, 20, Belal Hossain, 22 and Haidar Ali, 19.
Police also recovered some sharp weapons including knives and daggers from their possession. A patrol team of Panchlaish police arrested them from in front of N Mohammad Convention Centre near Muradpur while they were fleeing after committing snatching around 1.30 am, police sources said.
Officer-in-Charge (investigation) of Panchlaish Police Station Aziz Ahmed said receiving the information of snatching, a patrol team of police went to the spot and arrested them.
