Staff Reporter :Police in a drive detained six Islami Chhatra Shibir leaders alongwith 11 cocktails in city’s Arambagh area on Friday afternoon on charge of carrying out subversive activities.Acting on secret information, a team of police raided a mess on Friday afternoon and held the six student politicos alongwith 11 cocktails, said Motijheel Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Mofizur Rahman.The arrested men were identified as Abdur Rahman, Afzal Hossain Himel, Russel Amin, Abdur Rahman, Alamgir Hossain and general secretary Abdul Quayyum.Police conducted the raid on information that the leaders gathered at the mess to plan subversive activities, the SI said.They were shown arrested in a case later, the police official said.The law enforcers also seized crude bombs and huge publications of the organisation, he said.
