6 more killed in road crashes

At least six more persons were killed and many others critically injured in separate road crashes across the country on Friday.
In Manikganj, at least three persons, including driver and helper of a pick-up van were killed in a road crash in Saturia upazila of the district on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Chan Miah, 25, driver of the van, from Rangpur, his helper Habibur Rahman, 25, and poultry trader Zillur Rahman, 30. Both of them hail from Keshabpur of Jashore.
Lutfor Rahman, Officer in Charge (OC) of Golora Highway Police Station told the news media that the accident occurred at 7:00am when a truck collided head on with the pick-up van carrying livestock in front of Noyadingi Rising Spinning Mill, leaving the two dead on the spot and one injured, After the accident, driver of the truck and his helper fled, he added.
The injured was taken to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries on way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, OC added.
In Narayanganj, a driver of a pickup van named Abdur Rahman,45, was killed when another pick up rammed him on the Asian Highway  
Road beside Khanchon Bridge under Rupganj upazila on Friday noon. In Gopalganj, an old beggar was killed when a bus ran over him near Bangram village in Muksudpur upazila of the district on Friday afternoon.
Deceased Nurjahan Begum, 55, was a resident of Ramkrishnapur area, said Muksudpur Police Station Officer in-Charge (OC) Mostafa Kamal Pasha
In Madaripur, a women named Rubi Akter, 60 was killed when a Motorcycle hit her at Raintree tola under Kalkini of the district last night. Moffajal Hossain, OC of Kalkini Police confirmed the matter media.
In Mymensing, a teenager girl named Rupa, 12, was killed when a truck rammed her in Tarakanda of the district. Mizanur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Tarakand Police said.
