Six people, including a Dhaka University student, were arrested while giving proxy for others at police constable recruitment test at the district Police Lines centre on Tuesday.
The arrestees were Tashrif Alam, a student of DU Islamic History department, Shamsher Ali, political science student of Dhaka College, Shahanur Rahman of South East University, Imrul Islam from Islamic University, Palash Ahmed, a Dhaka College student, and Rashed Ahmed, an Anando Mohon College student.
Additional Superintendent of Chapainawabganj Mahbub Alam said police arrested them as they appeared at the recruitment test attaching their photos on the genuine candidates’ ones.
