Customs intelligence recovered six gold bars worth about Taka 30 lakh from a passenger’s stomach at Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport yesterday.
Customs intelligence sources said Hasan Uddin, 31, arrived here by a Dubai flight from the UAE at 10.30 am.
When he was leaving the green channel, customs officials challenged him for his suspicious movement.
In the face of interrogation, Hasan admitted that he was carrying six gold bars in his stomach. The gold bars were detected by X-ray.
The officials then took out the bars from his stomach by feeding drugs.
