Six Bangladeshis, who were arrested by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) while they were trying to enter Indian territory through Petrapole border illegally, returned home through Benapole check post on Tuesday night.
BSF members handed the six people over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) formally at Benapole check post at the night. The returnees identified as Nasima Begum, 35, Selina Begum, 34, Rina Begum, 32, Shipon, 36, Mala Rani, 22, and Ankita, 1, hail from different villages of Bangerhat and Munshiganj districts. Commander of Benapole check post BGB camp Subedar Aiyub Ali said BSF members arrested three women, two men and one child from Petrapole border of India while they entered the Indian territory on the day.
