Six youths, who were arrested on Saturday in a case for raping a woman at Dargarchar Natun Para village in Shahjadpur upazila, made their confessional statements before a court on Sunday.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Nazrul Islam recorded the statement of the six young men of Shahjadpur upazila under section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). The six young men are- Alhaj, 25, son of Lal Chand, Alamgir, 28, son of Azimuddin, and Ratan, 21, son of Ayub Ali, hailing from Dariarapur area of Shahjadpur municipality: Tota, 24, son of Iman Ali, a resident of Dorgarchar village in the upazila; Jewel, 20, son of Hossain Ali, a resident of Pukurpar area; and Bulbul, 27, son of Andur Rahman, a resident of Naluya village of the upazila.
