The fifth round of four-day 19th Walton Smart Fridge National Cricket league begins on Friday (October 13) at four separate venues across the country.
On the day in tier 1 matches, Khulna Division will take on Barisal Division at Sheikh Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi while Dhaka Division faces Rangpur Division at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.
While in tier 2 matches, Dhaka Metropolis will play against Sylhet Division at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong and Rajshahi Division meet Chittagong Division at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra.
After the fourth round tier 1 matches, Khulna Division dominated the league table with 14 points while Dhaka Division followed them with eight points.
Rangpur Division placed in third position also with eight points while bottom ranked Barisal Division stood at six points.
On the other hand in tier 2 matches, Rajshahi Division topped the points table with 14 points while Chittagong Division and Dhaka Metropolis placed at second and third position with equal eight points respectively. Bottom-ranked Sylhet Division has four points
The final round of the league will take place after the Bangladesh Premier League T20 starting from November 4. The itinerary of the final round will be announced later stage.
