57 die from cold related diseases in this winter 6,309 affected in 24 hours

A total of 57 persons died of cold related diseases in the current winter since November, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room.
The data showed that 6,309 people were attacked by cold-related diseases across the country in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning.
Of them, 22 people died from Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI), while diarrhoea claimed five lives.
Around 30 people died due to various diseases including jaundice, and fever.
Besides, 61,088 patients were attacked by ARI, while diarrhoea affected 148,711 people. Other cold-related patients were 174.318, showed the data.
It disclosed also that 1,004 of the patients received treatment for ARI, another 2,137 for diarrhoea, and 3,168 for other diseases.
