Water levels in 54 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 26 stations recorded fall.
Among the 85 monitored water level stations, water level at one river station is flowing above its danger level and water levels at four river stations have remained steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Monday.
All the major river systems are in rising trend which may likely to continue in the next 72 hours.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24-hour ending at 6am yesterday.
A total of 121 mm rainfall was recorded at Dalia, 102 mm at Cox’s Bazar, 92 mm at Lorergarh, 79.6 mm at Barguna, 78 mm at Panchpukuria, 73 mm at Sunamganj, 69.5 mm at Rangpur, 55.7 mm at Dinajpur, 55 mm at Narayanhat and 54 mm at Chittagong.
