51 more get war-injured FF reorganization status

A total of 51 braved men who received injuries during the Liberation War in 1971, have got the reorganization for war-injured Freedom Fighters (FFs).
With this addition, the number of such status-based freedom fighters reached at 4,598.
On December 3, the Liberation War Affairs Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard following the decision of Jatiya Muktijoddha Council.
According to the gazette, they will get monthly allowance of Tk 25,000 to Tk 45,000 in four categories based on the intensity of their injury and will also get other benefits, including three bonuses, free treatment at hospitals in Bangladesh and three other countries, free artificial limbs and wheel chairs and recreation tours.
They are being relieved from bills of water, gas, electricity and holding taxes, it mentioned.
The freedom fighters and their family members also will get ration cards, extra job and education facilities, quota facilities, stipend facilities, trips and tours facilities, said the notification.
