Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized 51kg silver worth TK 25 lakh from Kakdanga border area of Koloroa upazila early Sunday.
A patrol team of BGB conducted the drive in the early morning and seized the silver from the area, said Major Najir Ahmed Bokshi, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-38.
However, the smugglers managed to flee from the scene. The seizure is estimated to be worth Tk 25 lakh.
