500 plus DIU students receive free laptop

To prepare the students for the 21st century and to adapt them to the latest ICT friendly education which will develop their knowledge, skills and abilities to fit globally, Daffodil International University (DIU) has distributed 520 Laptop at free of cost among the students in the eighth phase at its continuous process of Laptop Project.
Prof Dr Aminul Islam, Founder Vice Chancellor and Emeritus Professor of DIU was the chief guest at the Laptop Distribution Program held at DIU Auditorium in the city on Sunday.
Presided over by Prof Dr Engr AKM Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, the function was also addressed by Prof Dr M Golam Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Prof Dr Golam Maowla Choudhury, Controller of Examinations, Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student Affairs) and Md Mohin Chowdhury, Sr Accounts Officer of DIU.
Daffodil International University has taken a gigantic initiative of “One Student: One Laptop” program which is one step a head for digital Bangladesh. Every student admitted into Daffodil International University from Summer Semester-2010 and onward is getting a Laptop at free of cost.
Chief Guest Prof Dr Aminul Islam, Founder Vice Chancellor and DIU Emeritus Professor said, It was a long cherished dream of the university authority to implement the project “One Student-One Laptop” with the vision of becoming a Digital University in line with the policy of Digital Bangladesh.
