Anti- Corruption Commission, Chittagong chapter filed corruption case against 5 senior officials of Padma Oil co including former Managing Director Abul Khair for alleged misappropriation of Tk 3 crores
Besides, the 5 officials of Padma Oil, another related contractors also accusedwith the suit. Asstt. Director of ACC, Chittagong Sirajul Hoque filed the case before the Sadarghat thana of CMP on Thursday .
Officer- In-Charge of Sadarghat thana Morjina Akhter ensured the filing the corruption case while contacted.
It is learnt , a number of corruption cases were filed against the former Managing Director . Shouldering these corruption case, Abul Khair is holding the post of MD of Jamuna Oil Co. Depite directives of taking departmental actions against the former Padma oil MD, no actions yet to be effected, sources said.
A portal news report sources said with the connivance of the four senior officials of Padma, they misappropriated Tk.3 crores centring the construction of hydrate line for supplying aviation fuel in Shah Jalal International airport, Dhaka .Three allegedly involved with the construction work were also accused in the suit . These accused are Max Oil Engineering Ltd Md. Fahim, Project Director Md. Ali Hossain and Md Abul Khair. The FIR of the case was told that another amount of Tk.33 lakh was misappropriated in the construction of one building of Padma Oil in Doulatpur Khulna.
They accused in the Doulaltpur Bhaban were Padma Oil MD Abul Khair, Project Director Nurul Amin, Dy Manager Engr. KM Abdur Rahim, Engr Saleki Ahmed and the Managing direcrtor of the the constructing firm Md Anisur Rahman.
ACC official sources said in 2013, ACC filed 3 suits accusing 93 including Abul Khair before the Sadarghat thana filed by the then Asstt. Director Md. Morshed Alam, sources added.
