UNB, Pirojpur :
Five Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activists were injured in an attack by rivals in Balurmath area of Mathbaria upazila on Sunday morning.
Locals said, an altercation took place between the supporters of JCD leader Sohel Rana and Mainul Hossain on Saturday night over the conference of the upazila unit of the BNP’s student wing.
A meeting was called at the Balurmath BNP office at around 11am yesterday to settle the matter. However, the followers of Mainul attacked the meeting, leaving five JCD men injured. On information, police rushed in and brought the situation under control. The injured received first aid.
