A total of five students from different faculties of Islamic University (IU) have been selected for the Prime Minister Gold Medal for their outstanding academic results.
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over the medals to the students at her office in the capital on Sunday, said IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif, reports UNB.
The selected students are: Maksud Iqbal of Al-Quran and Islamic Studies department, Bulbul Ahmed of Arabic Language and Literature, SM Nahidul Islam of Finance and Banking, Wazidur Rahman of the Law and Rezwanur Rahman of Biotechnology and Genetics Engineering department.
Every year the University Grants Commission (UGC) honours brilliant students with this the medal.
