UNB, Chuadanga :
Five people were injured in a clash between two groups of people on a picnic over distributing food at Majherpara in the town on Friday night.
Saiful Islam, officer-in-chage of Chuadanga sadar police station, said Najar Ali, Hira, Maruf, Razzak and Sharif received wounds when two groups of people on a picnic arranged by Nabin Prabin Jagoran Shangho locked in a clash at 11pm.
The clash ensued when Maruf and Najar locked in an altercation over food distribution, leaving five people injured.
A chase and counter chase took place between the two groups before police brought the situation under control.
