Customs Intelligence officials arrested five passengers and seized huge number of mobile phones, laptops, sharees and some gold ornaments worth about Tk1.5 crore in separate drives at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Wednesday.
Among the arrestees, three are identified as Saiful Islam, Mohammad Sumon and Rasel Hossain
Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Customs Intelligence recovered the cell phones, laptops and gold ornaments after conducting body search of five passengers and also searching their luggage at the airport.

They also seized eight pieces of gold bars weighing about 834 grams from another five passengers after searching them in different times at HSIA.
