Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police arrested five fake detectives from the city’s Khilgaon area on Tuesday night.
Members of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police also recovered a walkie-talkie set, a pair of handcuffs, one set of police uniform, some sharp weapons and a private car from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, a special DB team, led by its Assistant Commissioner Mahmud Naser, conducted a drive on the slope of Khilgaon Flyover at about 9:45 pm and arrested five people who used to impersonate detectives.
