The five day long sixth annual exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Bangladesh concluded at Naval Base Issa Khan here on Saturday afternoon.
School of Welfare Maritime and Tactics organized the concluding function.
Commodore S A Mahmud, Fleer Commander of Bangladesh Navy, attended the concluding function as Chief Guest while US Defense Attache’ to Bangladesh Lieutenant Colonel P Kynez A Vhakaria, Commanders of Chittagong Naval area and high officials of Bangladesh Army and Navy attended the function.
The five-day shore-based and at-sea training events were designed to address shared maritime security priorities, develop relationships, skills and enhance cooperation among participating forces, sources said.
