A court in Chittagong convicted five accused in different terms and cash penalty for alleged kidnapping of 12 yrs school girl .
Judge of Women & Child Repression tribunal-2 Md. Selim Miah in his verdict on Monday convicted Md.Roni with life term jail and fours viz. Md. Karim, Kiron, Nazmul and Shahjahan with 14 yrs rigorous imprisonment and cash penalty of Tk.20 thousand each, court sources said. PP of the tribunal Advocate MA Naser told that the allegations undoubtedly proved following the depositions of the witnesses and court convicted them accordingly but the the convicts are not fugitive since their bail earlier granted.
Counsel of the plaintiff Adv.Bibekananda chowdury said 12 yrs school girl was kidnapped from Abidarpara of south Agrabad in city while returning from coaching centre on November 11, 2011 by these convict.
On next da y of the incident, father of the victim filed a kidnappin g case before the double mooring thana of CMP on November 12 , 2011 and police managed to rescue the s chool girl from the custody of the kidnappers on same day reunded up the accused .
