BIGTEX 2019 is the biggest international Garment & Textile Industry expo of Chattogram, that will be held from 4 to 6 April 2019 at GEC Convention Center, Chattogram – Bangladesh.
BKMEA is the Associate Partner, Well Group is leading from front as Partner of the said exhibition. Garment & Textile Machinery, Equipment, Technology & Accessories – Manufacturer, Dealers, Suppliers & Importers from Home & Abroad have participated at this mega exhibition.
Chattogram is the 2nd RMG heartland after Dhaka & known as the Commercial Capital of Bangladesh. Being the major seaport of Bangladesh, Chittagong is handling about 92% of import-export trade of the country.
Targeting the entire Textile, Garment & Apparel industry of Chattogram, we have concurrent exhibitions as Bangladesh Int’l Print, Pack & Signage Expo, Bangladesh Int’l Fabric & Yarn Expo & Bangladesh Int’l Dyes and Chemical Expo.
The Press conference was leaded by Ms Fatematuj Johra, Director Marketing – Redcarpet365 Ltd along with Mr. Ahmed Imtiaz, CEO – Redcarpet365 Ltd. Mr. Md. Althaf Uddin, Sr. Joint Secretary (Administration) – BKMEA Chittagong Office has briefed about BKMEA’s role in this exhibition and in the Textile Industry of Bangladesh. Mr. Syed Sirajul Islam, Managing Director – Well Group gave his inputs about the importance of these exhibitions and recent needs of quality manufacturers & exporters.
Mr. Fazle Karim Liton, Managing Director of Jack Machinery Import & Export, Chattogram briefed about potential of Chattogram’s Textile & Garment Machinery Market, Mr. Karimullah Chowdhury Sr. Deputy Secretary, BGMEA described the potential & rising apparel market of Chattogram.
Mr. Ahmed, CEO of Redcarpet365 Ltd mentioned that the expo will have almost 135 stalls with products from 15 countries including Bangladesh, India, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, Switzerland, Taiwan, Malaysia,Thailand, Turkey, UK , USA.
He also added, The vast economic potential of Chittagong, a city with unique advantages of ports, roads and railways, largely remains untapped. The port city can well drive the economy to achieve the coveted middle income status and reach the target of USD 50 billion garment export. Hosting about 40 percent of the country’s heavy industries and the second RMG heartland, the commercial city. So there is lot of opportunities with sustainable business in this area.
These exhibitions will play an important role with the latest machineries, technologies, dyes / chemicals, yarns, fabrics available for Bangladesh on display with Manufacturers / Suppliers from the world available to our Industry at the doorstep.
