A total of 4,957 doctors, nurses and health workers have been infected with coronavirus so far across the country, according to Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA).
Of them, 1,694 are doctors, 1,344 nurses and 1,911 health workers. So far, 61 doctors died from the disease.
BMA President Dr Mostofa Jalal Mohiuddin and Secretary General Ihteshamul Haque Chowdhury expressed their deep shocks at the deaths of the doctors.
