Police in drive seized 1153 pieces of Yaba, 971 gram heroine, 2480 pieces powder type heroin, 750 gram cannabis, 38 bottles of phensidyle across the city in last 36 hours.
They also arrested at last 47 people in connection with drug taking and illegal drug peddling during the drive.
Of them, two were also received bullets during the police drive in the city’s Kadamtali area. They are Noman, 27, and Shahjalal, 20, said Masudur Rahman, Deputy
Police Commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
The anti- drug drive will be continued as a part of regular work of police, the DC said.
Police have filed separate cases against the arrested men with different police stations, the police official said.
The bullet-injured drug peddlers were admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) with critical injured, he added.
