The admission tests for the first year honours courses of 2015-2016 academic sessions under eleven units of Chittagong University (CU) will begin from November 1, CU sources said on Monday.
In this connection, the CU authorities have taken all-out preparations for holding the test peacefully and properly. The Chittagong University administration sat in a meeting with Chittagong district administration, District Police, RAB, Power Development Board, Roads and Highways and the Railway authorities recently with a view to ensuring safe journey of the admission aspirants.
They would also arrange additional train services to carry the students to the CU campus on the dates of examinations. The admission test will be held from November 1 to November 9 in eleven units.
Of them, tests of A and J units on November 1, G and I unit on 2, F 1-3 unit on 3, D 1-2 and D3 on Nov 4, E unit on 5, C 1-3 unit on 7, B 1 unit on 8, B 2, B3, B4, B5, B6 B7 and B8 and H unit on 9. A total of 2,11, 952 are sitting for the test against 4653 seats.
Around 46 admission seekers are now vying for one seat this year. In G unit, 183 students are vying for one seat, CU sources added.
