45 migratory birds recovered , released in Chitalmari

DB police of Bagerhat raided Nalua bazar bus stand under Chitalmari Upazila in Bagberhat and recovered some 45 migratory birds from a passenger coach bound for Dhaka on Monday morning and later they were released.
 Md. Rezaul Karim, Officer-In-Charge of DB Police, Bagerhat disclosed to the newsmen, in the evening acting on secret information a contingent of DB police raided Nalua Bazar Bus Stand, searched a passenger coach of Falguny Paribahan- bound for Dhaka and recovered a bag contained 45 different migratory birds from its top roof.
Later , the recovered birds were released in the air. But sensing the appearance of the police the seller of the birds managed to escape. It is guessed by the police that the birds were being taken to the capital city Dhaka for selli
It may be mentioned here that just with the advent of the winter season the migratory birds leave Siberian and the Himalayan regions for South Asian (Tropical) countries in order to save themselves from the biting of severe cold.
Then those birds take shelter in the rivers, canals marshy and wet lands in Bangladesh and other countries for food.
Taking the opportunity a number dishonest hunters catch them with traps and other means and sell them in the different hats and bazaras, though the catching and killing of both wild animals and birds are strictly prohibited in the country.
