At least 427 centers out of 595 are risky at 67 union parishads of 9 upazilas in Khulna district, according to election analysts.
District Special Branch (DSB) of Khulna district police administration mentioned 42 centers as ‘more important’ and 168 centers as common ones.
Concerned sources said, polling centers are identified as risky or more important as per analysis of previous history of the centers, numbers of voters and as per political records of the political parties.
Habibur Rahman, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Khulna said, before and after casting votes, members of law enforcers would be deployed ins and around the polling centers, with a view to avert any untoward incidents.
According to election commission sources, 15,23984 voters will cast their votes at 67 union parishads in Khulna on March 22.
Meanwhile, 3718 candidates started election campaigning at all union parishads.
Khulna district election commissioner Habibur Rahman said, symbols were allocated among the candidates on Thursday.
Nine candidates were elected unopposed at 4 unions in Khulna, Khulna district election office sources said.
