Police, in special drives from Tuesday night to this morning, arrested 42 persons including three activists of Jamaat-E-Islami, two drug traders and recovered illegal drugs from 10 upazilas of the district.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different areas of the district.
Police said, during the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested nine persons including two drug traders with 1,200-liter of locally made liquor, Birganj five, Kaharole three, Hakimpur police five, Biral police four, Birampur police two, Phulbari police three, Ghoraghat police three, Parbatipur police two and Chirirbandar police arrested six persons including three activists of Jamaat-E-Islami.
