UNB, Satkhira :
Police, in a special drive from Monday evening to Tuesday morning, arrested 42 people, including 19 activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir, from different areas in the district.
Satkhira Special Branch (SB) police inspector Mizanur Rahman said police launched a special drive in different areas of eight-thanas of the district and arrested them. Of them, eight were arrested from Sadar thana, five from Kalaroa, seven from Tala, two from Kaliganj, four from Shyamnagar, four from Ashashuni, three from Debhata and eight from Patkrlghata.
