More 4,190 affected by cold-related diseases in 24 hours as sweeping of cold wave are continuing across the country.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Control Room’s data showed that various cold-related diseases affected 4,190 people across the country on Sunday.
Data of the DGHS Control Room showed that 701 of the patients received treatment for acute respiratory infection (ARI).
Another 1,733 were treated for diarrhoea and 1,756 for other diseases, including fever, jaundice, eye inflammation and skin diseases.
However, Met Offices said that the lowest 9.5 degree Celsius temperature recorded at Rajarhat of Kurigram district. Besides, the other cold wave affected areas were Ishwardi of Pabna, Kurigram, Panchagarh and Kushtia districts, according to Met Offices.
The Met Office predicts the weather across the country to remain dry in the next 24 hours.
However, the night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
As an extended outlook for the next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted that the temperature may rise at the end.
