Dutch-Bangla Bank awarded scholarship to 4,032 students who passed SSC/Equivalent Examination in 2017 and studying at HSC level in different colleges of the country at a ceremony held at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium, Mirpur Circle-10, in the city on Saturday, says a press release.
Finance Minister Abul Maal A. Muhith, MP, was present as the Chief Guest while the Law Minister Anisul Huq, MP and Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir were present as Special Guests and handed over the Scholarship Awarding Letters among the recipients. Sayem Ahmed, Chairman, Board of Directors of the bank presided over the function.
Under social cause program, a total number of 47,660 students got DBBL scholarship among which 18,168 students of different levels are receiving the scholarship at present.
In the program, a special dua mahfil was held on upcoming “National Mourning Day 2017” for salvation of the departed soul of Father of the Nation Banghabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman along with most of his family members who were brutally murdered by a military clique on August 15, 1975.
