Another 13 people died of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in different hospitals of Bogura, officials said Sunday.
Of the deceased five were confirmed Covid patients and eight died with symptoms, reports UNB.
During this time 91 more Covid infected people were identified and infection rate decreased to 16.48 per cent.
Bogura Deputy Civil Surgeon Mostafizur Rahman Tuhin said that the infection rate in the district has decreased a bit than that on Saturday.
So far, 622 people have died from the virus in Bogura.
Meanwhile, Sylhet division has logged 13 new Covid-related deaths in 24 hours till Sunday morning, as the ruthless Delta variant of coronavirus continues its spread across the country.
Of the total deaths, 12 were reported in Sylhet district alone, said Dr Himangshu Lal Roy, director (health) of Sylhet.
During this period, some 460 people found positive for Covid after testing 1,722 samples.
The positivity rate currently stands at 26.71%.
With the fresh figures, the total fatalities and cases in the division now stand at 897 and 48,912, respectively.
Moreover, 36,646 people have recovered to date.
Besides, 36 people have been admitted to the corona unit of Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital in the past 24 hours. Currently, 577 Covid patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Sylhet division.
Besides, twelve more Covid patients have died at Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) in the past 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.
Seven of them died of Covid-19, while five had symptoms of the virus infection, said hospital director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani.
Of the deceased, five were from Rajshahi, two each from Chapainawabganj, Naogaon and Natore districts and one from Pabna district.
Besides, 25 people have been admitted to the corona unit of the hospital in the past 24 hours.
On the other hand, some 33 people were discharged from the hospital after recovery during the period.
Currently, 314 patients are undergoing treatment at the hospital which has 513 beds. Of them, 20 are being treated at the ICU, said the hospital director.
Of the admitted patients, 181 have tested positive for Covid-19, while 77 have symptoms and 56 have post-Covid health complications.
