Police recovered at least four more dead bodies from separate districts across the country on Wednesday.
In Meherpur, the throat-slit body of a 60-year-old man was found in his house in Gangni upazila of district early Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Monoruddin, a dweller of Kalyanpur village in the upazila.
Local sources said that miscreants entered the house of the sexagenarian and slaughtered him.
Locals could not say reasons behind the murder.
Gangni Police Station Officer in-Charge (OC) Harendranath Sarker said they could not know why the murder happened.
In Khisoreganj, a dead body was recovered from a local pond in Sadar Upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Gurudoyal Robi Das, 40, son of one late Gopal Robi Das, inhabitant of Syedpur village.
Mohammad Ahasan Habib, Officer in-Charge of Khisorganj Model Police Station told the matter to the media.
In Keraniganj, a housewife named Hosne ara Khoshi,18, died mysteriously at Chonkotia area under South Keraniganj of the city. Police arrested Husband, Fther and Mother in law for quere.
Ajhar, Sub Inspector of Keraniganj Model Polce confirmed the news to the media. In Gazipur, Police recovered a slaughtered body of woman from a residential building of Tongi of the city.
The deceased was identified as Nurjahan Begum, 35, wife of one Zohirul Islam from Nowakhali district.
Kamal Hossain, Officer in-Charge of East Tonghi Police Station confirmed the matter to the media.
