Four bodies with their hands tied and throats slit found a paddy field at Dabuir village in Shibganj upazila of Bagura district on Monday morning.
Two of the deceased were identified as Jakaria, 35, and Shabrul, 30, of Katgara village in Atmul union of Shibganj upazila, our Bogra correspondent reports quoting said Anisur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (Inmvestigation) of Shibganj Police Station. The identities of other victims could not be known immediately.
Police recovered the bodies and these were taken into police custody around 11:30am, the police official said.
All of the bodies had their throats slit and their hands tied behind their backs. They were wearing T-shirt, shirts and pants, the Inspector said.
Police suspected that murder might be committed following a long prior enmity centering drug related issue, according to him
Police are investigating whether the victims were killed elsewhere and then dumped in the area, he said.Filing a case with the police station was under processing, the Inspector said.
The bodies were sent to Shahid Zaiur Rahman Medcial College and Hospital mortuary for a post mortem, the police official said.
