Four students were red handed while taking drugs in Chittagong University (CU). They were detained at around 6:30 pm at the University’s Sir A F Rahman hall on Wednesday .
In the meantime, Proctorial body also recovered Yaba tablets and Marijuana from their possession, The arrestees are – Sakhawat, Tanmay, Nakib and Hirak Chakma. They are the students of the Department of Anthropology under 2015-16 academic session . After the arrest, they were handed over to Haathazari police station.
According to the university sources, as part of the regular work of Proctorial body of the University, they visited Sir AF Rahman Hall yesterday evening. When they reached at 322 number room of that residential hall they were detained 4 Students who were taking Yaba.
University Proctor Ali Asgar Chowdhury told that four students of the Department of Anthropology were detained and handed over to police . All of them were taking Yaba. Hathazari Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Belal Uddin Jahangir told that the detainees were interrogated with the police station. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
