Four workers have died after being injured in an accident at a ship-breaking yard in Chittagong’s Sitakunda.
They passed away in the afternoon while undergoing treatment at a local hospital on Thursday.
The accident occurred when the workers of Arefin Shipyard, located in Kodom Rasul area, were removing various parts of MV Capiten Lee Shinko before dismantling it to scrap.
One of the ship’s gas cylinders exploded causing injuries to the workers, Sitakunda Police OC Iftekhar Hasan told bdnews24.com.
