City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin said, the slain four national leaders were the main pillars of the Mujibnagar govt . This killing was the one of the hatred incident across the world.
The victims of the killing are Syed Nazrul Islam, Tajuddin Ahmed, M Mansur Ali and AHM Kamruzzaman . He said in absence of the father of the nation in 1971, they conducted the Mujibnagar govt and Liberation war.
He disclosedit while addressing the discussion meet on Jail Killing Day on Thursday at Chittagong Press club auditorium as chief guest. He said in the history of Bangladesh, the contribution of these four national leaders will remain alive in the heart of the people. Vice chancellor of Chittagong University Prof. Dr. Iftekharuddin chowdhury was the keynote speaker in the meet.
Vice President of City AL Naimuddin chowdhury, Presidium member Syed Mahmudul Hoque, former BCL President MR Azim and councilor Hasan Murad Biplob graced the occasion as special guests.
