4 more killed in road crashes

At least four more persons were killed and several others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Tuesday.
In Bogra, two members of a family were killed and four other injured as a truck plunged into a roadside ditch in Shahjahanpur upazila of Bogura on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Zaheda, 55, wife of one Qayyum from Shahpara area in Thakurgaon sadar upazila and their daughter Sabina, 16.
Local said that the accident took place on the Dhaka-Bogura highway when two trucks collided head-on and the Dhaka-bound truck fell into a ditch leaving two passengers dead on spot.
Abdul Aziz, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Bogura Silimpur Town Police Outpost told media that
the truck driver and helper among four others were injured in the crash. They were taken to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.
In Chandpur, one farmer named Ruhul Amin ,75, was killed in a road crash when he faced a tragic incident at Bakila of Hajiganj upazila in Chandpur.
The accident occurred around 10:30 am on Wednesday.
The deceased Ruhul Amin was inhabitant of Chantar village of the union. Chandpur Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Rashed confirmed the news to the media.
In Dhaka, a motorcycle rider died when a bus rammed him in front of Sony Cinema Hall in the capital’s Mirpur.
Mirpur Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Aklima Akhter said, on Wednesday noon, the motorbike rider died on the spot when Mecca Paribahan bus hit him.
“The bus driver was arrested and the body of deceased was taken to the police station. But initially identity of the deceased could not be known instantly.
