Chittagong Bureau :
Four persons including a child were killed in separate accidents in different upazilas of the district on Wednesday . Three of the deceased were identified as Joynal Abedin, 35, Dorjoy Chakrabarty, 4, and Mohammad Mostafa, 40.
Motorcyclist Joynal was critically injured after a speedy bus hit him at Darogahat area in Mirsarai upazila of the district at around 9.30am yesterday.
He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead, said Nayek Mohammad Hamid of CMCH police outpost. In the second incident, Dorjoy was drowned in a ditch near their house at East Gomdondi vllage under Balkhali upazila of the district at around 10am Locals rushed him to the nearby health complex. The attending doctors declared him dead, police said.
In another incident, truck driver Mostafa was critically injured and an unidentified man was killed on the spot as the truck driver lost his control over the steering and dashed a parked truck at Katirhat under Hathazari upazila of the district at around 7am yesterday.
Mostafa was rushed to CMCH where the attending doctors declared him dead, said Nayek Mohammad Hamid of CMCH police outpost.
