A court here on Tuesday placed four suspected members of the banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) on a five-day remand each in the case for the murder attempt on church priest Luke Sarkar.
Pabna Chief Judicial Magistrate Rezaul Karim passed the order after officer-in-charge of Ishwardi
Police Station Biman Kumar Das, also the investigation officer of the case, produced them before his court with a 10-day remand prayer in the case.
Those who were remanded are: Ziaur Rahman, 35, of Singa Palpara area, Shariful Islam alias Tulbi, 22, of Majidpur Maddhyapara village, Abdul Alim, 36, of Niamatulsapur village in Sadar upazila and Amzad Hossain, 30, of Raghabbaria village in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj distirct.
