Barisal Correspondent :
Four office bearers of Barisal University Teachers Association including president of the organisation resigned from their post. Arif Hossain, resigned president of BUTA, said he along with vice president Jotirmoy Biswas, executive members Sujan Chandra Pal and Asim Kumar Nandi submitted their resignation letters to Hasinur Rahman, dean of the science and engineering faculty on Thursday night. They said due to pressure of performing teaching and research duty, they could not give enough time for organisational activities. Hasinur acknowledging receiving of resignation letters said the resigned BUTA leaders showed ‘personal’ causes for resignation.
However, the resignation of BUTA leaders came after Shafiul Alam, Abdul Kaium, former president and former secretary, Tarek Mahmud and Abir Hossain, members of BUTA, charged present committee member for their failure and negligence in performing organisational duty at the meeting of BUTA on Thursday, related sources said.
