At least four activists of Secchasebok Dal were injured in a reported clash with members of Jubo League and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) in Madarganj area of sadar upazila centering tearing up of BNP candidate Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s posters.
One of the injured, Rahimanpur union Sechhasebok Dal leader Abu Sayem Porag claimed that when they were sticking posters of Mirza Fakhrul in the area around 8 am, the leaders and activists of Jubo League and BCL obstructed them and torn down the posters which triggered the clash.
However, Md Mostafa, general secretary of Sadar Upazila Jubo League, denied the allegation.
Being informed about a clash, a police team went to the spot, said Mostafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
