Manikganj police have arrested four people, including a woman involved in the murder case of BilkisAkter, wife of police constable Masud Rana, four days after the murder. Manikganj Superintendent of Police Mohammad Golam Azad Khan said this at a press briefing at his office at 11am on Wednesday.
The arrested are Lipi (20), her husbandKabir Hossain (30), Riaz Uddin (26) and ShakilHasan (19).
Additional Superintendent of Police BhaskarSaha PPM, Sadar Police Station OC Akbar Ali Khan, case investigation officer SI Zaminur Rahman and others supervised the case.
The police superintendent said Bilkis was believed to have been killed for stealing money and gold ornaments.
Bilkis was killed on Friday night after taking sleeping pills at a rented house in the reserve tank area of West Dashra in Manikganj, tying his hands, legs and mouth and wrapping a towel around his neck. Bilkis was assassinated for the purpose of stealing money and gold ornaments.
