Detectives arrested four suspected drug traders and recovered 50,000 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from Shahbagh area on Monday night.
The arrestees are-Sayed Alam, Md Masud Rana, Md Akibul Alam alias Sabuj and Md Sekandar.
Tipped-off, A DB team led by its senior Assistant Commissioner Shah Nur Alam Patwari conducted a drive at around 9:40 pm and arrested the four drug traders along with a private car.
Searching the private car, the detectives recovered 50,000 Yaba tablets.
Sources at the DB headquarters said the drug traders had been involved in selling Yaba tablets in different districts, including the capital, for a long time.
